Bag Capacity and Restricted Items

Each bag can hold up to 1 tonne of waste. However, certain items cannot be accepted, including tyres, batteries, oils, pesticides, clinical waste, fridges, freezers, gas bottles, mattresses and any materials that require specialised disposal methods.

To ensure a smooth collection process, please keep the following in mind:

Our crane can only reach bags positioned within three metres of the lorry.
Bags can be lifted over low fences or hedges, but not over parked vehicles.
Place your bag in a clear, accessible area away from walls, overhead cables and obstructions to allow safe lifting.
While our drivers will always aim to collect your bag, if access is not possible, a charge may still apply.

Where to Position Your Bag

Please ensure your grab bag is placed within three metres of the roadside so our vehicles can safely reach it using onboard cranes. Unfortunately, bags cannot be lifted over parked cars or across the cab of the lorry, so clear access is essential. Quick Skips will collect grab bags in Ringwood mostly with lifting straps, provided they are in a suitable condition. Make sure the straps are intact and not torn and that the base of the bag is strong enough to support the load when lifted. Proper condition is essential to ensure safe and successful collection.
